Faceless income tax is here to help!

While many things happened in the market last week, such as increasing gold price, TN becoming the number one investment option in the country and so on, we also had Income tax usher in silently the faceless assessment scheme. This should go a long way in reducing harassment and corruption in the department. Much needed step, certainly. The press release from the department said, “Faceless income tax is here to help!” Certainly, we look forward to more such schemes that would lessen the pressure on the tax-payer. The scheme was launched in October last year after the budget announcement by the Finance Minister in last July.
